Irrigation Festival Parade
Every year Sequim puts on their annual Irrigation Festival and has the longest parade known to man.... This year was shorter then previous but it still lasted 3 hours! No joke... and the length is probably 2 miles maybe 3. Anyway, it's the longest running parade on the peninsula and possibly in Washington state, so it's a huge to-do for all the schools, pageants and apparently birthing at home places across the state. So very long and somewhat boring But Weston was able to participate in the parade with his preschool this year and loved it. Being able to ride his bike with all his friends and wear his 'special dinosaur T-shirt' was the best! Even if he was the only one wearing it backwards-!!
I tried to get a shot of Weston with the huge papier-mâché dinosaur he helped make at school in the background, but I wasn't fast enough. The best shot of the dinosaur has Weston sneezing! So - there you go! And you get a good shot of Weston with his 'fashion style' in full bloom! Not only does he wear his clothes backwards, depending on his mood and very logical explanations as to why, but his sense of matching isn't always as 'dapper' as I would hope!
Tyler loved the parade, getting hopped up on sugar and then trying to ride away on Weston's bike, once Weston came back from finishing his walk of fame! Yes - there was still about an hour or so left after all of that!
It was fun!
