Valentines Dance

I know Valentines Day was more than a few weeks ago, but I just got these picts and had to share. We actually had a great valentines day. We started with breakfast; crepes with strawberries, buttermilk syrup, and whipping cream. We used fancy dishes, goblets and everything, the boys loved it. For dinner we made heart shaped individual pizzas (the boys made them) with pepperoni and cheese (red and white), and other fixings. And for dessert we had chocolate mouse with puff pastry shell, raspberries and cream on little heart shaped plates! Weston and Tyler helped make those too, and helped serve to the table. All in all though we had a lot of fun, and I have every intention of making Valentines day a huge kids holiday!

The ward also had a 'Sweetheart dance' for the adults with childcare provided. Sounded fun, and with someone to watch the kids we went. Well the child care ended up being that it was more of a family dance. The kids had a blast! Mostly they ran around in little posies playing with balloons from the decorations closet - but then they did have a few dances with each other which were really cute - and thanks to a friend there we were able to get some shots of Tyler at his first dance! Apparently Anna had been chasing Tyler around all night and finally caught him, although he doesn't look too upset by that! Weston did get her at the end though (look at last shot!) She was very much, the Belle of the ball!

Laynie was taken care of as well, within just a few minutes she was stolen and held through the entire dance so John and I were able to dance, and had a lot of fun doing it! This picture was actually taken at random without us knowing - apparently she was too cute to resist. :)
