Family Outing

Well, To calm the natives, we took the boys to the park to go fishing. They loved it, and I think as parents we loved just having it a little more calm! All the mess of my physical inabilities lately and then being shuffled around during the last few days has been a little hard on the boys. I think they've missed their quiet time.

I on the other hand have missed my life for the last 8 months and love that I can walk and 'be' without hurting. Other than being anemic I am not having to deal with any recovery which is nice, and which means as long as I can sit when I need too - I can do most anything.

I did happen to fall asleep twice in the few hours we were at the park, which made me feel fairly old (80's-ish??), but it was nice to get out. And it was a great day for it! The boys loved fishing, Weston tried with real bait and Tyler - just kept slapping his little green fish in the water and was completely amazed every time he 'caught' the same fish! He actually hit himself (and everyone else eventually) in the face with his fish as he would fling it down, it would swing around his head and kept whacking him on the side of the face. Much more fun with pond slim too!

Those pictures are really fun! Those boys sure look happy to have a little sister. She is very cute. It looks like the "fishing" outing was fun, too.

Looking forward to seeing ya'll in November...
