1 Week Old

This is a little more substantial for a post!
We've made it a week with no major casualties. The brothers still love and adore her in their own ways. Weston will slide over to Elayna whenever he sees her and just cuddle. Giving soft hugs and kisses, nose nuzzles and little caresses. Tyler yells baby and runs over to give big hugs and wet kisses.... it in a way reminds me of a giant running in on a little village!




Weston is also very protective of his sister. I took her out to run some errands on her 1 week birthday and left the boys with Grandma Liz. Weston apparently was very upset after we left, not sure he was very happy that I had taken baby Layna away. Today we had a family services nurse come to get her weight again, and then to do a PKU test. Weston had to be loved and cuddled and reassured before he would let us poke Laynie to get some blood. He was very upset that we would even consider doing something that would hurt his sister. (Worried this was a shot or anything close to it - and he remembers his 4 year old shots all too well!)

He really is loving and protective of her. It's nice to see!
