Elayna Howell

Elayna Howell was born on July 12th at 4:45 a.m., after what the hospital staff and doctor are calling a traumatic and intense labor and delivery.
She missed John's guessed date of the 11th, and my hopefull due date of the 6th. But she is here and the best news in the world is that we both survived it.

Here are some picts.. possibly too many - but it's fun to share with you the new joy we have in our lives.

The sunrise from the labor and delivery room we were in - just as Elayna was being born. Don't worry - John didn't take the picture until after I was finished and being taken care of!

First picture of Elayna after clean and clothed and the bruising on her head is mostly gone. Thank goodness for little hats - to cover the embarrasing stuff!!

She seems to have very long toes... you can't tell exactly here because she is curling them under - so add about another 1/3rd to the length of each. They seem long - but will probably chunk up soon enough!
