Christmas day

Christmas was nice, mostly because it meant the end of a long season. But since John and I take great pride in the relaxed nature of our Christmas festivities it really was a nice day!

Our routine you ask??  We wake up no earlier than 7:30, the kids are allowed to go get their stockings and bring them in to our bed to open with mom and dad.  Once we've all had a chance to open and revel in our stocking goodies we go get ready for our Breakfast.  We have a nice big breakfast with enough good things to keep us fuled through the day, then we clean up and John and I will shower or at least John will and I'll get somewhat ready to be somewhat presentable for pictures.

Then.... we open presents!  One at a time and stop between rounds giving everyone time to play with their toys before we go on to open more presents.  This year we had a bag with names in it and which ever name was drawn was the person to go pick a present for someone else to open.  We had a good time and the kids seemed to as well. I think our total present opening time this year was until about 7 at night! We had a nice brunch in the middle of it all and were able to talk with family on phone and video chat.  Erik and Min were able to spend a good time talking with us all the way from Japan!  They had our name for Christmas this year and sent us the best goodies from Japan - it was so awesome and the kids loved it.

We were lucky to get authentic English crackers to open with our breakfast. A nice bonus for a wonderful morning!
