Boys...
So a couple of weeks ago Weston and Tyler started talking about how they wanted an empty milk carton, and were very upset with me when I kept squeezing them and putting them in recycling. I finally asked why they wanted an empty milk carton and they explained they wanted one so they could fill it with water and use it as a punching bag.
We tried to eliminate the need for the milk carton by using a sleeping bag hung up downstairs (sorry no pictures I was too late) But after the couple of days of using the sleeping bag, they still wanted the milk carton, so they literally almost drowned themselves drinking the last of the milk so they could have the carton. They got it, hung it from the basketball hoop outside - all on their own - and then came in for a sharpie marker so they could draw a face on it.. Why - I still don't understand and I didn't probe any further than the initial question because I was answered with "(duh) so it can have a face on it"..
Well then it was filled with water which was boing, so they added dirt (no I didn't realize that until too late). And then the friends came over, and then there was mud. And then it was put away.
I do admire their tenacity. But I'm glad our little punching bag is finished for now!
This is one of my favorite pictures!!! I need to do some editing with these shots so I can put a scrapbook page together - or just use it for blackmail! I love the blood thirsty look on Weston and Tyler's innocent oblivion!
**Notice Weston's buck-eye necklace. This was made by the boys (really just John, but the boys claim credit!) from real buckeye nuts found and collected at the boy scout camp they had the weekend before. Very fun, festive and appropriate for most friday nights!
its fun to see what I will be getting into in a few years, I think A would love to punch the milk jug and he is only three.
