Elayna

After the little photo shoot with Tyler I figured I should probably try to get some picts of Elayna and Weston for their 'year' mark birthday picts. The boys are late, but Elayna is a little early - at least I have pictures and if I can't get my act together to get some around her actual birthday we are set!

I was on my way to the dentist and had about 15 minutes, Elayna was looking cute so I thought I'd at least try! Elayna would have nothing to do with the camera at all. In fact as soon as she saw the camera (just in my hands) she ran to a back corner in the garage and put her hands over her face. Knowing I was running out of time, and having just her when she looked cute and with nice weather was not going to happen again for a while so I went and got a dum-dum to bribe her with. It worked, but now there is that silly dum-dum in all the pictures! Oh well.. at least I got some picts. She'll be 2 in about a month and that seems so crazy since I still don't feel like I've recovered from the pregnancy with her. But it is amazing how fast the time goes. And although she is an utter handful (even compared to the boys who are known as very busy boys) we love and adore her. Her brothers I think would be lost without their little sister. I love how well they all get along, play together and care for each.

Elayna is so cute sometimes which probably is why we haven't sent her back yet! She loves to wrestle with the boys, but loves to be as girly as can be. When we drive if we take a corner a little too fast she'll make the woo-woo sounds. Going over bumps or small hills, she'll raise her hands and yell wee-wee, like she's riding a roller-coaster. We were going to John's office yesterday and when I turned onto the street of his office she yelled out 'oh ya' and clapped then started saying daddy, daddy! It was really cute!

So here are a few picts from our little 15 min. photo shoot, complete with bribery dum-dum and all. We made it to the dentist 5 min. late, but still I was in and out in 25 minutes. And that included the 'you should floss and brush better' speach which they only say half-heartedly since my teeth are never bad at all, and Elayna and her little shopping trip! The whole staff was so impressed that Elayna was so amazingly good. She just sat on the chair and played with a few toys and didn't make a sound the whole time we were there. It was like Christmas at the end, they gave her a bag and filled it with lots of tooth brushes, floss and toothpaste and then let her look through the toy chest. she wasn't real sure about the toys though, she was happy enough with her little shopping bag of dental goodies.

So this is the little car from the play roller coaster. Elayna LOVES this. She usually rides it out into the street and is good at going right back to start again. Other times she will try and ride the little car around the neighborhood, after the boys on their bikes. She has been watching Weston do his stunts on the little car, so now she thinks she needs to. She was pushing the car forward by rocking on it, then decided to stand up and ride it down the driveway after she had enough momentum going. I was a little nervous about the little drop to the street, but she stayed on and had to do it all a few more times!

I had to add the one of her hair - check that out........ She has some!! And it's kind of cute!

Elayna is getting so big! I love this stage. It is seriously so fun!!! I had to laugh when you said Elayna makes all those comments in the car while driving. Alyssa says the same things. It cracks me up!! Your family is getting so big. What cute, cute kids!!

Her hair is awesome! And you can easily photoshop the dum dum stick out of several of those pictures.
