Our Adventures begin!

Well we made it to Hawaii and have loved every minute of it so far. It's been a little overcast and rainy, but today the sun is out and we are looking at a great week with full sunburn potential ahead of us!

John and I are taking Hawaii at a different speed this time around since we have kids - Thank you Tyla - for coming and being a great set of helping hands! Aside from a few cranky pants moments we are all surviving! We are now waiting while Elayna takes a nap and the lunch settles in our stomachs before we head out on a hike in the beautiful green, jungly region on Maui - Iao Valley. I'll have to post some pictures once we get them.

The flight wasn't that bad for being a 5 1/2 hour flight, plus the waiting time before. I'm sure having a slew of friends who all seemed to have game systems of some kind, helped a lot. And for some reason hot wheels really are my boys favorite toys. We got them a set of hot wheel airplanes and hot wheel cars and they spent hours playing with them on the plane (literaly) and still seem to always have them in their hands - or close by. Once we landed in Maui - the boys were very excited to be "going to Hawaii" they had no idea what to expect... but once we got off the plane and into the jet way Tyler very loudly and excitedly announced "Hey, I'm not cold!". And that was the start of a great vacation.

We then started down our list.... rental car, Walmart for food and beach toys, condo and swimming pool! The next day we got all situated with snorkeling gear and wet suits for the boys and tested them out in the swimming pool again. Saturday it was raining but that didn't stop us from going to the pool again with some friends, we ate lunch and then we headed to the aquarium where the boys ran from tank to tank and spot to spot "can we go see another one, can we go to the next one"... Elayna was so sweet - she was as tired as could be but seemed so content to look and watch and once she was out of the carrier - to just walk around and look and point. We will most likely head back before we go so we'll have to see how visit two goes over.

The best activities so far have been the swimming pool for Tyler, and surfing for Weston. Elayna just loves anything to do with water and fruit and is such a little spaz! Church was a good experience today and Weston was very excited to be given an invitation to the primary activity this Saturday, who knows maybe he'll get to go!

Well that is about all I have for now here are some pictures from the last few days... tomorrow we head out on a snorkeling exhibition around the island and out to molokini we may not get any pictures for a while. But we'll post again in a few days.
