new Shoes

Along with wearing out pants like they are made of paper, Weston wears out shoes faster than any kid I know. We once thought we would try the cheaper shoes at Target or Walmart if we were going to be replacing shoes every 4 months, but found that if we didn't buy the more expensive shoes we were only getting a week or two out of the shoes before Weston wore them through.

I don't mean they get dirty or the laces break. I mean the soles wear through, the stitching pops and his shoes literally fall apart. I don't know how, but he plays so hard that his clothes seem to just fall apart.

Anyway, we are yet again at that time of buying more shoes and not having a lot of options here in Sequim we decided to try Zappos, which so far has been great. Weston picked the best shoes, that we all thought were really cool, but sadly we had to return because the sides hit his ankle bone and with all his running would prove dissasterous for blisters, etc..

But we tried them on and had to take pictures of them because they were so cool - then we had to go out (even though it was raining) to take pictures with sticks (because they are boys). They were fishing, fighting, playing robin hood, and all Dragon hunter!! So sad for Weston though he actually cried that we had to return the shoes - but we'll try again.. Go Zappos with free shipping!!! :)
