The Zoo

We finally made it to a zoo here in Seattle. Weston has been to one before, but I finally made it with him - and Tyler. John who was completely jealous that he couldn't go, will come on our next outing - to the other Seattle zoo.

This was the Point Deffiance zoo, small and great for kids. We were able to see the whole zoo at kid speed in about 3 hours. Granted, we didn't dwel to long at most spots since they didn't have a lot of animals. But Weston and Tyler loved it. Tyler who kept holding out for the E-wa-wa (elephants), even though he loved all the amos (animals) and Weston who kept running ahead of everyone "But Mom- I have to go see more animals" - it was a day of utter joy! Weston's favorite part was touching the animals, Tyler was thrilled until the animals touched back and then was a little weirded out!

I didn't get many pictures because they wouldn't hold still long enough to get the camera to focus, but I did get a few. Weston posed once for me - but the rest of the time was always running ahead. But we will go back or to another zoo - Weston about couldn't handle it when we left, I finally had to use the 'don't worry we'll go home to get daddy and then come back' line!


At the end of it all, as we waited for everyone to get their potty break for heading home (1 1/2 hour drive) Weston and Tyler just played on the grass hill... rolling, running, and having a blast!
