Past few weeks

Well our last few weeks have been anything but eventful. Aside from a few days (maybe 3) of nice sunny warm weather where we could take out the swimming pool and play in the sprinklers we mostly have been inside and not doing much. But we did manage a few pictures - mostly of Elayna, and at the risk of looking like we have forgotten our other two children here is her little jaunt down memory lane!

Weston and Tyler are just not doing much other than reading books, playing with toys and playing video games - definitely not picture worthy. Elayna on the other hand is fine tuning her personality and when she isn't 'screaming like a little girl' she is very, very cute. So much so that I can't imagine my life being so wonderful without her. She is definitely a little force of nature. I'm just hoping to get the screaming stopped before it really becomes a habit! :)

Elayna will disappear for long periods of time, and most of the time we will find her sitting on top of Weston's bed either reading through several books or playing with toys. If we take her off the bed, she immediately climbs right back up - it's like her own little fort! And when she is not hiding away, she walks around talking constantly and then laughing, assumably at her own jokes. It's very funny to watch. If she catches us watching though, she'll give us the cheesy smirk (like you see below with her fang) and then laugh again. Sometimes, she'll come up to us, try to head bunt us, and then laugh again and walk away! She has started to give us a scowl, which is rather funny - her nose and forehead all scrunched up and a concerned look on her face! It's still cute - even if it might cause her to wrinkle prematurely!

With no prompting or teaching from me - Elayna loves purses (I don't even have one), and will put toys in them, and try to put them over her shoulder. I don't know where she got it, but it's cute. And a little dangerous - my longer handle bags don't look very safe around her neck!
Along with purses and bags - she has also claimed Weston's school backpack for herself. And was very upset if anyone tried to take it off. Apparently she took a walk with John and the boys around our block (long walk), just to be able to walk with the backpack - which she loved having on!

She is a phone girl, she will spot a cell phone a mile away and immediately gravitates towards it. She will push the buttons, put it to her ear and start saying hi. Meredith let her play with her phone, and used ours to call her phone, Elayna very happily talked with Meredith on the phone, while sitting next to her! She talked (gibbered) for a long time, and kept laying back and laughing and sitting up.. It reminded me of the movies when the teenage girls are talking to girl friends on the phone, why laying around on their bed, painting their toe-nails and such!
We love having big sisters around!

And the best picture.... Elayna has 3 teeth, #4 has been floating up and down for a few weeks now. It's made our life a little less happy and Elayna a little off at times, but we are anxiously awaiting #4 because it will be her right I-tooth. And with that we hope to get a better picture of her 'fangs'. We think very appropriate for the Twilight series by Stephanie Meyer's (about vampires who live in Forks, which happens to be about an hour away from us!!!
So - here is our little vampire baby! Hopefully in a few weeks we will get the other tooth in the picture as well.

I did have to add these, from our few days of sun... It's like the attack of the villagers! I can't understand why - but Tyler loves to dress up, even if all he has is a little bucket!
