Visit with Grandma Sandy
Well, I am well behind in posting. I think enough has happened that it is taking a little while to settle into my fairly boring, yet simple life where I had time to post! But here are some pictures from our Week with Grandma Sandy, who came to visit and help me out a little bit. It was very nice to have some company and be able to sleep in a few mornings now and then! Mostly we stayed around the house, but we were able to get out and play some and when we did it was fun for us, I hope it was for Grandma Sandy as well!

Salt Creek Park & Tide Pools
Salt Creek Park is a really cool place, it's a county park that is available to camp at (Howell family reunion idea?) It has great facilities including a huge play ground, horse shoe toss area, basketball courts and large field. Then it has tide pools within a 2 minute walk from the camping sites and a few minutes drive down the road (or longer walk) there is a sandy Beach area. It's really cool and after being here 2 years - we finally made it!When we got there, it was high tide so we weren't able to really see any of the tide pools, but it was still beautiful and we loved it. We had a little picnic at the play ground then explored! The boys had a blast running around on all the rocks. I was fairly nervous since they ran so close to the edge, and several times the waves would crash up. I kept being afraid a wave would hit the boys and sweep them out. I had to ask John if he was ready to jump in and swim for the boys! He had the same thought!
The East side had the rocky cliffs and tide pools, the west end had the sandy beach. Both were fun, not at all like the beaches of Texas or Hawaii - but nice for the boys to play for a while!
Finaly a family picture - well sort of.
Elayna was there, you just can't see her in that picture. But after a few tries, we did manage to get a decent picture of her, soaking in the sun!
You sure live in a beautiful area of the world! (Cliff)
