Blog time again!
Well it has been a while, but I think that's because nothing too exciting has happened! But waiting this long gives a few things of note to post.
Still pregnant, much unlike my luck sister-in-law who now is post pregnancy. But I'll have to see how she is doing with the frequent night feedings and tiny little diapers????? I always hear how it is much easier to be pregnant than to have the baby in hand, and I would totally agree with that - if only I could walk!
Speaking of - I am now the proud (maybe not so proud) owner of a handicap placard which allows me to park with all the other invalids. Hopefully things correct themselves soon after the baby comes, and I can walk, sit, stand, sleep, etc., without feeling like an invalid.
Weston and Tyler came to my 34 week visit, and afterwards Weston had a good 30 minutes of questions and conversation concerning the birth of his baby sister. First off, explaining concern for the fact that the baby would not be able to come out without the doctors using tools, because my mouth wasn't big enough for the baby to fit! He is still running on the theory that I ate the baby. So I have assured him that the doctors would use the tools if they needed too to get the baby out, and I've just ignored the whole idea of where the baby comes out of. Tyler still thinks the baby is in the belly button - what a big belly button I have!
John just got back from a work conference in Santa Fe, New Mexico where on the first night he was able to stop in and see his Aunt Becky and Uncle Joe and their family! I only wish I could have been there. It sounded like a lot of fun. I on the other hand took the boys up to my parents, where my true handicaps came out, but as a result enjoyed a week of basically doing nothing with no responsibilities. It was great.
Tyler perfected his 'right back' line. With every exit of his he would announce 'right back' then leave for two seconds, come back just to do it all over again. It was very cute. Weston continually asked grandma for puzzles which somehow kept being put off, but still seemed to find a lot to do with new movies, tractors outside, a tree swing and lots and lots of cereal!
We came home to Tyler being able to ride his tricycle - which before he would only get on if we would push. I'm not sure how that happened, but it did and I'm happy about that. Tyler thinks he's pretty cool stuff! Weston keeps amazing us with things he knows and how much he can talk - non stop - and how many questions he can ask. Where simple answers are never sufficient, but needs and really wants full explanations to really understand things. Weston has also, many times, let me know that 'mommy, I don't need you' for whatever it is that is needing to be done. Or whatever it is he thinks he wants to do that I'm not too thrilled with. Weston has also picked up the caring phrase, 'don't worry about that' or 'mommy, don't worry' and then preceeds to do whatever it is I asked him not to, or felt like I didn't want to deal with - 'don't worry'!!! ya! :) I'm not sure if it's good or not, but usually I don't worry and Weston is gaining a whole lot of freedom, with this pregnancy deal!
Weston had his last day of pre-school last week, and I think will be very anxious to start again in fall. We have him signed up to play soccer, and that is a daily request 'when do I get to play soccer with my new soccer shirt'? It will be a lot of fun I'm sure!
Father's day was fairly unceremonious, but it was nice to have a daddy home. The boys have missed him so much and are grateful to have him around! As am I!
Ok, I didn't know you were having a girl! Congrats...even if it were a boy it'd be great. I know what you're saying you love what you get and can't imagine anything else. I LOVE having two girls and don'w feel like I'm missing out on boys...but if the next ones a boy then let it be great as well!! When are you due?? Any names!! I can't wait for you to be done being pregnant! not fun!! Anyways, keep us posted!
