At it again!!

Well,
To rest any concerns we are still alive, though I haven't kept up with blogging since life has been somewhat stressful and nothing seems as monumental as having our house not sell, with our move date of August 15th coming closer and closer. But our kids are still growing and have proven to still need our help and still be as cute and demanding as ever!

Weston is loving school and doing rather well with it all. He has started spring soccer and wants to sign up for baseball next. I sure hope we can fulfill his need for sports as he gets older and more capable!

Tyler is doing well, and has decided to be a scientist of whatever he is interested in on a particular day! The stories that come from his mouth are hilarious!
example:
"I didn't kiss any girls today, but if I liked them more I would have"
"Mom, actually, that's my worm (worm outside being tormented by Tyler). I'm a worm scientist and he escaped from my jar that I hold all my worms in"
today - he decided to be a marble scientist. And the other day at the park we had to hurry and go to the dog section so we could hear the "Dog concertation".. I suggested the word might be concert but he corrected me. I couldn't help but think he might also be thinking of constipation - but he assured me it was the beautiful music that the dogs made with all their barking. "No mom, it's con-ser-ta-tion"

And he is getting very good at his guitar - we are now experimenting with cords and not just strumming. He seranades us all the time, as he rewords any and all songs he has heard or learned. Primary songs have a whole new message in our house!

Elayna is a cutie and a true sweet heart. She has her moments, but overall is an adorable little girl. We go to Seattle next week for an overly expensive hearing test to see if her speach delay is due to hearing loss. And then we'll start more speach therapy depending on what the results of her test are.

Here is some of what we've been up to in the last few months.

Tyler - just being himself!

Trip to the zoo, just me and Elayna with some friends - the walrus was rather social! And this was the day I got my speeding ticket - - ahh the memories!

John wanted to celebrate Mardi Gras, so we had a party and lots of gumbo! Good thing we had a good recipe... everyone loved it, the kids loved the necklaces and we've decided we don't really like the king cake, but it's fun for tradition sake! We probably had a few over 20 people there, half of which were kids! That was party enough for us so we sort of skipped St. Patricks day.

It seems to always be cloudy and cold in our wonderful "Sunny Sequim", but on this particular day, the clouds looked really cool. It wasn't freezing without having something good come from it!
Elayna is discovering her hair -and experimenting with styling it... too bad she hasn't quit figured out that combs get stuck if you twist them around too much. I'm not sure what it says about our parenting, when our little girl runs into the room crying with a comb stuck in her hair and we rush away to get the camera for blackmail picts! It took a good 5 minutes to get the comb out and she was not happy we were trying to get pictures. I think the comb got more stuck as she wiggled around trying to hide her face from the camera!

Elayna is a daddy's girl, but even more she is a movie addict! Good or bad, I'm not sure which - we have John's lap top to watch movies on in bed - makes it rather comfortable, at least until Elayna muscles her way in.
John decided to plant some trees - 5 to be specific. I did get pictures of that, so once I get to downloading those, I'll post some evidence of our fun, family filled evening of chaos, dirt and mud!
