Tyler the goof!

We haven't done much - but here are a few picts we've taken lately. Apparently we've been more attentive to Tyler since I don't have any picts of Weston but maybe next week we'll have more of Weston and not of Tyler.

Anyway, Tyler has been very funny lately. Always into things, playing, rambling and just all around goofy. Very persuasive as Weston was at this age (oh waite he still is), yanking pulling and pushing us to do what he wants. He has started some funny faces and gestures which crack us up. He takes us completely off guard and we just laugh and laugh. Weston will wonder why - then start laughing and that starts Tyler laughing and it just keeps going! These last two are of Tyler's new little hand and face sqwunch - recreated though so they are not as good as the originals!

Weston is doing well. He is suffering from some sleep and outdoor play deprivation and as he has become addicted to playing playstation - (which has now been boxed up and hid - anyone want it???) We are going through some withdrawals as "I haven't won yet" keeps coming up. I've tried to explain the concept of addiction to him - and he decided it was okay to be addicted to the games until he won.

He and Tyler play great together when they want to, otherwise they are true siblings!

Life is still not settling down much for us, but we hope after this week it will.

Our family update

Here is an update of our life as of late, no picts it's not that exciting! But in case you wanted to know... her it is!
It's been a little hairy around here, and not looking like it will let up any time soon.

John is now finished with his thesis and Master's program. Though still waiting for the red tape to be finished. But he is now happily working his 8:30 - 5:00 (unless he stays late to talk with friends) and we at home, especially the boys are loving that too! He is in the Elder's Quorum presidency and is having fun with the early meetings, and evening runs to visit and help people in the ward, and all the other responsibilities with that. He has also been picking up a lot of the slack at home lately which has been nice, since I've either been sick or busy!

Weston is still doing preschool T/TH mornings and loves it - and usually likes the idea of going if he got enough sleep the night before. If not, well.... it's a little force to get in the door, but that's about it. Then he forgets I'm there and LOVES school. His teachers have commented that he is just great. Very friendly and 'spirited', and very - very empathetic for
others. So that will be an interesting attribute to work with as he gets older. He seems to be doing well in Sunbeams... very well behaved we've been told and he loves his teacher.. But is not sure it's his favorite class. He has mentioned he wants to go to the "other church", meaning nursery I assume! That was a few weeks ago - so we'll see. I didn't like primary when I was in there 2 years ago - so I can't argue with Weston too much!

Tyler, 'the little pill' is cute as ever... He is into everything as always and just getting more demanding about it. Trying to reason with the kid is useless - but he tries to convince us of - whatever - he thinks is of absolute importance... always being something I'd rather not be doing, or that he just shouldn't be doing. He is talking a lot, we've got the No's (only he shakes his head with it now) and it's very cute, and then the 'ya's' with a body nod is very fun. Still grabs the hands to pull us where he wants us to be. A lot of his vocabulary we are finding - cooincedently has the b sounds... biaper (diaper), bambaa (grandpa), bubu (buckle), bubble (nursery), baa (bath), etc... he seems to be getting more and more. His new favorites lately are thank you, please and duck. Oh and he loves to dance - we
just say dance Tyler - and he starts dancing around... It's like a trained monkey! Loves the outdoors... very spiritied child... following Weston well in that regard!

I - think I'm nuts.... John is just great to be putting up with me right now. I said I'd 'help' with the High School Senior play (Midsummer Nights Dream) and have ended up being assistant director - with 3 hour rehersals every afternoon - 5 performances in all - and though I wanted to be done with it for our families sake - have become the hair stylist for all the girls (at least 15) and make-up consultant. I'm very ready to be done - as my standards for acting are much higher than what has been expected of these kids.. and I take it/did take it a lot more seriously than they do. It is a huge test of patience!

I was just voted in as president of our Home Owners Association... Slight mutany tried by one lady who doesn't like me (I don't know why - because I don't know her), but everyone else whom she cornered and tried to get to vote against me - all wanted me to do it - because no one else did (including me - but I'm a sucker when people need help). Interesting road ahead I'm sure???????
I'm still trying to get my cooking club nights going - and now have the R.S. pushing me on that too.
Young Women's just seems to be growing and growing in time involvement. And Design work which seems to be picking up a little.

I'm missing real cooking and meal planning and hope to get back into that sometime soon - the frozen foods and 5 min. thrown together meals of whatever was in the refrigerator is getting really old!

I don't want to sound like I'm complaining... It has been fun to be more involved in things than I was previously. It's just a good test to see if I can pull it all together and keep our clothes clean and children from becoming addicted to movies/play station, and afraid everytime I say we have to go somewhere real quick! I think they have been the most forgiving of this crazy schedule - which sadly I think has contributed to the severe lack of sleep around here.

Well that is us... we hope to have it all settle down in a few weeks - and that would be nice!
